Prior to joining The Sontag Foundation in 2016, Carlos served as Controller of Tzadik Properties, a Miami based property management company with a portfolio valued at over $300 million. In his role, he oversaw the accounting department and was responsible for month end reporting, restructuring and implementing new accounting policies and procedures, managing external audit process, preparation of tax packages and quarterly review of management company and property specific budgets. Carlos also served as a Senior Fund Accountant for Sun Capital Partners, a global private equity firm with over $9.2 billion of capital under management, Controller at BBMK Contracting, a turn-key reconstruction and restoration company in Delray Beach, Florida, and as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley & Company.
