2012 Sontag Award Recipient

"My research group studies the molecular, cellular, and evolutionary mechanisms of brain development and applies this information to understand and target mechanisms underlying brain tumors and neurological diseases. The Sontag Foundation was a critical funding source for me early in my career and I will always be grateful."

About DSA-Funded Research

Dr. Han does research in neuroscience, developmental biology, and cancer research. In particular, he investigates regulatory mechanisms of neural stem/progenitor cells and how alterations in such mechanisms lead to brain malformations, brain tumors, and brain evolution.
