2021 Sontag Award Recipient

"The Sontag Foundation’s support and the community of other DSA investigators, will enable my laboratory to establish how new glycoRNA molecules operate in brain tumors and create new ideas for how to target and treat brain malignancies."

About DSA-Funded Research

Dr. Flynn's Lab will define how glycoRNAs change across different stages of GBM, how genes that make and read glycoRNAs change between normal brain tissue and GBM, and begin to modulate glycoRNAs in disease contexts to establish a functional relationship between the two. Overall, they aim to significantly advance the basic understanding of a deadly brain cancer while establishing new ideas for eventual treatment through these mechanistic insights.
