Grand Challenges in Glioblastoma: The Blood-Brain Barrier: An Obstacle to Effective Therapies

In February, The Sontag Foundation convened the first annual symposium to promote creative thinking and cutting-edge research to overcome the challenges of the deadliest form of brain cancer, glioblastoma.

The event was held at the MIT Brain and Cognitive Sciences Complex in Cambridge, Massachusetts and was organized by Brigham and Women's Hospital, Department of Neurosurgery, MIT Synthetic Neurobiology Group of the MIT Media Lab and the McGovern Institute. 

200 researchers, physician-scientists and clinicians were in attendance.
