Dr. Sampson is a neurosurgeon and researcher at Duke University specializing in treating brain tumors. His clinical interests are newly diagnosed or recurrent primary or metastatic brain tumors, including enrollment in clinical trials of new therapeutic agents (immunotherapy, vaccines and convection-enhanced delivery). Dr. Sampson’s current research activities parallel his clinical interests and involve the immunotherapeutic targeting of a tumor-specific mutation in the epidermal growth factor receptor. Another research interest involves drug delivery to brain tumors.
